Yerkebulan Imanbayev

Hi! My name is Yerkebulan, and I am an English/IELTS/SAT tutor with over 3 years of experience.

Having taught students from elementary school, all the way up to college, I can help you achieve any goal you might have when turning to a tutor. My past students have shown increased improvement by the end of the courses I taught, with my IELTS students receiving an average of 7.0 and my SAT students receiving an average of 1400.

When it comes to teaching English, I am interested in using a combination of activities such as discussions, listening exercises, and interactive games. I believe that active participation and meaningful communication are key to improving language proficiency. I also integrate multimedia resources and authentic materials to make the lessons more engaging and relevant. This might include watching movies, reading books, and writing fiction/non-fiction together!

One of the most important aspects of the lessons for me is questions. One of the habits you will notice about me is how often I will stop in the middle of my sentence and ask you if you have any questions. I strive to create a safe space where everyone is welcome to ask any questions they like, no matter how insignificant they think the question might be.
