Over the past decade, I have worked as a Principal and Staff Applied Research Scientist in leading AI and Robotics companies in the UK and Singapore. My work has involved developing computer vision and AI systems for autonomous vehicles, safety analytics, and industrial automation.
Alongside my professional career, I have mentored numerous MSc and PhD students from the National University of Singapore, University of Michigan, and University College London for their final-year or doctoral research projects, guiding them in technical problem-solving, critical thinking, and clear scientific communication.
During my PhD, I was recognised for research excellence, receiving international conference awards from the IEEE organisation. I completed my Bachelor of Engineering at the National University of Singapore on a fully funded SIA–NOL (Singapore Airlines–Neptune Orient Lines) Undergraduate Scholarship, which covered both tuition and living expenses. Earlier in India, I secured the State 3rd Rank in the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Board Examinations (equivalent to A-Levels in the UK), achieving 98.4% among more than students. I also scored 100% in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science, a distinction achieved by only 12 students that year.
These experiences reflect my commitment to learning, mentoring, and inspiring others to reach their potential.
My teaching philosophy focuses on clarity and confidence. I believe that any complex idea can be understood if broken down into small, logical steps. I help students build a strong conceptual foundation by explaining ideas intuitively, connecting topics, and reinforcing understanding through practice and feedback.
I tailor each lesson to the student’s pace and needs, encouraging curiosity and independent thinking. For exam-focused students, I also teach effective problem-solving strategies and time management techniques to boost performance and confidence.
My goal is to make Maths and Physics not just easier, but enjoyable and meaningful.
