Yasmin Nasser

Hi, my name is Yasmin and I am very excited to meet you!

I am currently a Year 11 student at the Godolphin and Latymer school, a prestigious private girls school.

I have a younger sister who I tutor regularly, hence I love teaching and explaining challenging concepts to students.

The format with which I approach my lessons is mainly presentation format, in a game-related or fun way. I would then work on worked examples and then some examples for the student to attempt themselves, on a whiteboard via Google Meet.

I believe I am a very patient and knowledgeable individual, especially in STEM subjects and linguistics, as I have attended countless courses, lectures, competitions and competitive summer schools. I would work with your child to explain ideas and topics in an approachable and fun way, allowing them to grasp concepts quicker.

I also believe I am very flexible in adapting to different learning methods, as I have tutored many young children in the past, whether it be online or from home. If your child is a visual learner, for example, I may focus more on animated slides and drawing pictures to retain information.

I strongly believe my lessons are both informative and engaging, especially for the younger audience. I can speak many languages and am aware of many different curricula, having been in both the French and English teaching system myself, so I am confident in teaching a variety of topics, whether it be for fun or in preparation for an exam, such as the 11+ or 13+ in the UK.

I myself went through the 11+, getting into top schools such as Godolphin and Latymer, St Paul’s Girls School, City of London Girls School and Latymer Upper School, hence I would feel very able to teach how to approach both the exam and interview.
