Math is more than numbers on a page; it’s a way of seeing and understanding the world. I believe the best way to learn is by connecting ideas to everyday life, so I like to take problems from real situations and turn them into opportunities to explore. It could be something as simple as calculating how long it will take a humidifier to fill a room, or as exciting as figuring out the path a football takes when kicked across a field. These examples show that maths isn’t distant or abstract—it’s part of everything we do. My teaching style begins by helping students feel comfortable with the idea of calculating, without fear of mistakes. Confidence is built step by step, through curiosity and clear thinking. Once that comfort is there, we move into more structured curriculum topics, but always with the focus on understanding why something works, not just how to get an answer. I aim for conceptual excellence, because when you truly grasp the “why,” you can solve any problem, no matter how it’s presented. I encourage questions, experimentation, and discussion, so learning feels active and alive rather than just memorising rules. Maths should be engaging, practical, and even fun, and I strive to create an environment where students see problem-solving as a skill they can carry into every part of life. With this approach, maths becomes less about pressure and more about discovery, growth, and genuine confidence in their own abilities.
