Hello! My name is Yakov, and I am a native Russian speaker living in Edinburgh, Scotland.

I graduated from Altai State University in 2009 with a degree in Chemistry and also completed an additional teaching qualification at the same university.

I have over 12 years of professional experience in communication, customer support and training. During my career in the healthcare industry, I regularly conducted training sessions, explained technical information and helped people develop new skills.

I offer friendly and personalised online Russian lessons for adults, university students and anyone interested in learning this fascinating language.

My lessons are suitable for complete beginners, beginners and intermediate learners. Whether you want to start learning Russian from scratch or improve your existing skills, I will help you progress at a comfortable pace.

During our lessons, we can focus on the Russian alphabet, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, reading, listening and everyday conversation. I particularly enjoy helping people understand how Russian is actually spoken in real-life situations.
