My psychology lessons are structured, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs and learning style. I usually begin by checking what you’re currently studying and what you find most challenging, so we can focus our time where it’s most useful. Lessons typically combine clear explanations of key theories and concepts with active discussion, examples, and exam-style practice questions to help you apply your knowledge confidently.
I place a strong emphasis on understanding why theories and methods work, not just memorising them. We often break down complex topics step by step, use real-world examples, and link ideas across different areas of psychology to strengthen understanding and evaluation skills. For exam preparation, I support students with essay planning, command words, evaluation structure, and how to gain top-band marks, as well as data analysis and research methods where needed.
I have experience studying psychology at university level, including research design, statistics, and academic writing, which allows me to support both content learning and skills such as critical thinking, referencing, and interpreting studies. I have shown consistently demonstrated my work to be of a high standard. I am currently in my final year and completing my research project, which uses a mediation model to determine any relationships between nostalgia and OCD - an area which currently has extremely limited research. I’m patient, encouraging, and happy to revisit topics in different ways until they make sense. My aim is to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and developing a genuine understanding of psychology.
