I am a first year Religion student, with a passion for Maths, which I studied at both GCSE and A Level, and English, which I studied at GCSE. I love breaking down difficult topics into easy to understand tasks, asking questions rather than giving answers, in order to improve the confidence of students. I encourage questions from students, and there's no such thing as a silly question! I am most familiar with the AQA exam board, but may be able to teach other exam boards.

My Maths sessions will first consist of a chat with the student to understand where they are with Maths, as well as any blocks that they might be experiencing that could make Maths harder for them. I aim to develop a rapport with students in order to allow them to feel safe and supported in an academic environment. On top of that, I will focus on a particular topic per session, starting with explanations of concepts, then we will work through homework or practice problems together. I have a good background in Maths, achieving a grade 9 in Maths GCSE, and a grade 7 in Further Maths GCSE.

My English sessions will be similar, focusing on a particular question per session, and starting with rapport building. I studied An Inspector Calls, Macbeth, Jekyll and Hyde, and Love and Relationships poems in my own English exams, so my area of expertise will be focused on those texts, although I am able to teach a wider variety of texts. I achieved a grade 7 in English Literature GCSE, and a grade 9 in English Language GCSE, so I am able to teach both subjects at a high level.
