I have tutored students in the past to help them learn new math, as well as help them with that they are studying in school. Our lessons can look however you would like depending on your needs. For example, if you need homework help, bring it to your lesson and we will work on it together as I help you understand how to do it. If you want to prepare for your next year of math, I will prepare lessons and problems for us to walk through together to help you learn. I do not believe in lecturing, and I instead prefer a learning-by-doing approach. With this, my lessons will always be interactive, where you can do problems as we go along, gradually ramping up the difficulty, and taking questions the entire time. My goal is to make math more understandable and fun for you, and I will do so by tailoring our lessons to your learning style. Some people are more visual, auditory, or performance based learners, all of whom I have worked with. To accommodate each kind, my lessons will have visual stimuli, lots of discussion, and practice problems. If a problem seems to hard at first, I have found it very useful to discuss it, even if you do not know what direction to head in. Oftentimes you will seemingly accidentally arrive at the answer. Solutions to hard problems are almost always within your power, and I will help you see this. I look forward to working with you, helping you enjoy and learn math more.
