I teach mainly through discussions and back-and-forth engagement with the student and material. I will question and debate students' answers, views and choices of economic policies. One truly understands the material when they can defend or critique it effectively, and that's what I look for in my students.
I have received the Cambridge excellence award for the highest score in CIE AS Level Economics and CIE A Level Economics in Malaysia (where I went to secondary school)
I am available to be contacted outside of tuition hours (within reason), and I will be sending extra notes/materials/journals that I find worthwhile knowing to broaden the student's perspective beyond the textbook and help them see how the materials they learned are applied in real world scenarios. I may include small tasks in between the tutorial sessions as "homework" if I see that a student needs more exposure to a specific topic.
