Wenye

I am an experienced secondary school teacher in London, specialising in Chinese language teaching. With a PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and a Master of Education in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, I bring nine years of teaching experience and a proven track record of excellent GCSE Chinese and HSK results.

Personalised and engaging lessons

Every lesson is tailored to the student's ability, learning style, and goals. My teaching is passionate, patient, and adaptable, ensuring that students feel supported while being challenged to reach their full potential. I create a motivating learning environment where students can build confidence and enjoy learning Chinese.

A focus on all four language skills

My lessons develop the four essential skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Through interactive activities, practical exercises, clear explanations, and real-life language applications, students develop well-rounded Chinese proficiency. I also focus on vocabulary building, grammar, pronunciation, and character recognition to establish a strong foundation.

Structured GCSE and HSK preparation

For examination students, I provide targeted practice based on the relevant syllabus and assessment requirements. Lessons include exam-style questions, effective revision strategies, and personalised feedback to identify weaknesses and improve performance. I have helped students achieve fantastic results in both GCSE Chinese and HSK examinations.

Building confidence and long-term progress

Whether you are a beginner, looking to improve your existing Chinese, or preparing for an important examination, I will adapt the lesson content and pace to suit your needs. My aim is not only to help you achieve excellent results but also to develop your independence, confidence, and lasting enthusiasm for learning Chinese
