I have three years of teaching experience. In my classes, I really enjoy using the app cahoot to create quizzes, and then we review the mistakes together. For me, right or wrong is not the most important thing, making mistakes actually helps students understand why they went wrong and learn from it. I never pressure my students to get concept immediately . I encourage discussion, because that true learning comes from struggling and asking questions.
I also like to incorporate short videos or introduce some history and cultural context related to the language during class. I believe this makes learning more interesting and engaging, rather than just focusing on language exercises. Additionally, I hope that one day I can take my students to my country, a Chinese speaking environment, where learning in a real life context can be much more valuable than having classes.
