From experience students need to gain conversational confidence first. Through shared enquiry: language is explored and extended, and needs to be acquired rather than spoon fed to be remembered and enjoyed. I quickly establish where my students’ needs are, build rapport and interest through games and subtle exercises. It’s fun, quirky and a memorable experience that students always want to come back for more of.
I built and ran a language centre in Hong Kong and went on to publish Sounds’n’Stories with Pearson Asia. I have also written many popular love songs for TVB ( look me up).
