Firstly, I do tutoring on one to one basis this is on WhatsApp. I explain the concept clearly on a white board, which could be clearly visible to the student. Next, we will be working together on the next sum with the same steps ( this is to know student understanding). Later, I will be giving a sum to work independently. While working, child should be repeating the methodology ( on the same concept ) so that student can practice and become confident with the concept. Finally, if student and parents are willing then I can always give some homework, so that student can have some practice.
My experience,
I have worked at a primary school as an LSA for 11+ years. I was teaching the given class ( from 1 to 6 ) in teacher’s absence. Teaching and working with children being my passion I always enjoyed my work. End of the day, at school I used to run English Clubs for EAL children ( English as foreign language). Besides teaching, I was running art clubs for children which included sand painting, marble painting, thread painting, pot painting etc.
