Vijay Raja

I’ve known Vijay for years and he is an outstanding teacher. His main focus is the keys, and he is excellent at it - clear, patient, and able to make the instrument click whether you’re just starting out or levelling up. He also teaches guitar (bass specifically) and is a strong all-round musician. What sets him apart is his knowledge of the music theory and his impeccable musical ear that lets him hear all the layers of a song, pick out individual parts and train you to develop that same awareness. You don’t just learn notes on a key, you also learn how to listen and play as part of a whole. Highly recommended!

I’ve really enjoyed learning guitar with Vijay! He is a patient, encouraging and knowledgeable teacher who makes every lesson enjoyable and easy to follow. He explains things clearly and adapts the lessons to my level and what I’m interested in learning. I’ve noticed a real improvement in my playing and confidence since starting lessons. I especially appreciate how he encourages me to keep practising without making me feel overwhelmed. I would definitely recommend Vijay to anyone looking for a friendly and skilled guitar teacher, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to improve your existing skills.
