My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs, learning style, and goals. Before we begin, I'll take the time to understand what you would like to achieve, whether that's improving confidence, preparing for exams, or strengthening your understanding of specific topics.

Lessons are interactive and designed to keep students engaged through clear explanations, worked examples, questioning, and regular opportunities to apply their knowledge. I break down complex scientific concepts into manageable steps and encourage students to ask questions throughout so they feel confident in their understanding.

As a qualified secondary science teacher, I have experience teaching students with a wide range of abilities and adapting my teaching to suit different learning needs. I regularly use exam-style questions, retrieval practice, and targeted feedback to help students make progress and develop effective study techniques.

Where appropriate, I can also provide additional practice questions, revision resources, and personalised homework to reinforce learning between lessons. I believe that regular review and active practice are key to building long-term understanding, so I revisit previous topics to help students retain knowledge and make lasting progress.

I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt the pace and teaching methods throughout each lesson. My priority is to ensure students feel supported, motivated, and leave each session with greater confidence than when they started. I also encourage students to develop independent learning skills so they become more confident tackling unfamiliar questions on their own.
