About me
I’m open to teaching in any way which would benefit the children I’d work with. I prefer to teach in a different way for everyone but believe extra learning should never feel like a chore. I think recognising small gains is very important and not always done. I personally learnt very well by hands on experience and practise questions so anyone who enjoys that would overlap most with my own person...
I’m open to teaching in any way which would benefit the children I’d work with. I prefer to teach in a different way for everyone but believe extra learning should never feel like a chore. I think recognising small gains is very important and not always done. I personally learnt very well by hands on experience and practise questions so anyone who enjoys that would overlap most with my own personal resources. I have a 2:1 degree from a top 10 university in psychology and achieved straight A and A* grades across my GCSEs. I taught ballet previously and have tutored a little however i have always babysat and worked with children outside of education for 8 years in total. The age ranges I’ve covered were 6 months to 16 years, and I have taught children from as young as 18 months. I work in statistics and due to work have a deep background check along with previous DBS checks. Although my specialty is statistics, I got a high A* in GCSE maths and believe myself to be well rounded in all areas of maths. I have an eye condition which means drawing shape is not my strongest suit so work on this is the main area I would say I struggle with. I’d be prepared to teach online and I also have a car and will travel within around 10 miles of my house. Before lessons please let me know what you would like covered as it has been a good few years since I took maths myself as a subject and want to be up to date with changes.
