My lessons are a combination of discussion, presentation and exploration, and are tailored to your desired goals and outcomes.

I have experience working with primary school through to MSc level, and love working with new groups and individuals to explore where the topic can take them.

I have extensive experience in tutoring biology, climate science, and environmental sciences- my PhD in climate science and policy has given me a lot of wonderful opportunities to assist in the running of university lectures, tutor sessions and seminars, as well as outreach opportunities with primary and secondary schools with the local community.

I have run after school science clubs for my local primary schools and love creating new and fun ways to engage my students- regardless of their age or experience.

Additionally, I spent several years tutoring with The Brilliant Club running both an extra curricular weekly session to year 8 and 9 students about climate change and the Anthropocene, as well as teaching as a tutor within the national catch up scheme after the COVID lock down. This scheme consisted of weekly biology sessions helping years 7 through to year 11, depending on the schools requirements, and helping them cover material that they had missed out on during lockdown.

My ultimate goal is to work with students who are excited to learn, and help them reach their goals, whether that's passing their GCSEs or exams, learning more about the natural world, or writing essays for university.

I am happy to provide a tailored experience, that can be over a short or long term basis and ranging from 1 session a fortnight to multiple sessions a week. I would also be willing to discuss discounted rates for teaching multiple individuals and groups, or for booking sessions in bulk.
