I achieved a Grade 9 at GCSE Mathematics and an A* at A-level Mathematics, and I now use the same effective strategies and disciplined approach that helped me succeed to support my students. My teaching is centred around a synthetic paper approach, where I carefully assess a student’s strengths, weaknesses, and exam technique through targeted questions and past-paper style problems. This allows me to quickly absorb a clear picture of their current ability and identify the exact topics and skills that need improvement.

Using this information, I design personalised lessons that focus on closing knowledge gaps while reinforcing strong areas, ensuring steady and measurable progress. I break down complex mathematical concepts into clear, logical steps, helping students develop genuine understanding rather than relying on memorisation. Alongside this, I place strong emphasis on exam technique, problem-solving methods, and recognising common pitfalls, which are essential for achieving top grades.

My lessons are structured, supportive, and adaptable, allowing students to build confidence and independence in mathematics. I encourage active participation and regular practice, using feedback from each session to continuously refine my teaching plan. Whether a student is aiming to pass confidently or achieve the highest grades, my goal is to accurately develop their mathematical ability, improve their exam performance, and help them reach results similar to those I achieved through a focused, personalised
