I normally take maths as a game of numbers where you manipulate them to get a result. Format I'll be using will be as relatable as possible to real world situations for easier understanding and the content will be based on the syllabus or how broad your system needs to be covered. I'm a certified trainer in tvet institutions. Tvet institutions are like colleges that are found in my area and they impact students more on practical than theory. I normally train them on maths , technical drawing and also general building construction. I've been training them for almost a year now and then results seem to be very encouraging as the students always say they enjoy what I cover with them and how deep I can go. Recently I got employed in my previous institution of teaching and my students were all excited and everytime I met them along the corridors of the classroom, they would ask me, 'Will you come and teach us sir?' looking at me like angels. And I would go on and tell them that I'd try my best to get the classes back and a smile of hope brightens their face a little bit. I make sure that my work is known and seen from the results of my students, nothing more and nothing else. Additionally,it's not everytime learning, one should take time to encourage his/her students on matters of life, how to do life ,balance it and also be better at what you do. That's my approach.
