In my years of teaching it’s become evident that children need lots of practice opportunities to sediment their learning into their long term memory. Particularly in Maths, learning is like building up a wall: a strong foundation is vital and new learning must be linked to previous knowledge for a profound understanding.
I will never “move on” to the next lesson if the student needs more time to fully grasp what they’ve been taught.

Clear, achievable goals is what I want my students to have. I’m a strong believer in taking the time to do things properly especially in our modern world where everything happens at top speed.
Success can’t be rushed!
