I use a friendly, can-do approach with my tutees, and my young age helps me to connect with students especially. Previously, I have helped friends during GCSEs, helping them answer questions and revise content. Within my lessons, I encourage discussion and independent thinking from the student, being there only to nudge them in the direction of the answer. The sessions are also directed by the student, where we figure out their weaknesses, or perhaps the topic they're covering in school, and work on specific content-related confusion or get on with some past paper questions. With exam-style questions, I am able to provide specific exam technique, which is especially vital for GCSE Science, where the wording/ layout of your answer is key for picking up marks from the mark scheme.
