The Lesson Format:
My lessons are conducted via Zoom or Google Meet, utilising interactive digital whiteboards where both I and the student can solve problems together in real-time. This 'hands-on' digital approach keeps younger 11+ students engaged and allows GCSE students to see complex scientific processes mapped out visually.
Dynamics & Content:
Every session is tailored to the individual’s needs, but typically follows a three-part structure:
Concept Deep-Dive: We break down a specific topic (e.g., fractions, chemical bonding, or human biology) until the student understands the why, not just the how.
Fluency Building: We move through a series of increasingly difficult problems to build confidence and speed.
Exam Mastery: We apply what we've learned to actual 11+ or GCSE past papers, focusing on mark-scheme terminology and time management.
Experience & Skills:
With extensive experience tutoring across the primary and secondary spectrum, I am well-versed in the requirements of major exam boards like AQA, Edexcel, and OCR.
