Greetings,
I am delighted to introduce myself and my teaching philosophy — one that places your musical growth, emotional well-being, and creative voice at the very centre of our work together.
Whether you’re preparing for a graded exam, composing your first piece, or simply learning to play for the joy of it, my lessons are tailored with care to meet your unique needs. I offer classical and pop piano, music theory (from beginner to advanced), basic songwriting, and composition support. Lessons are available for all ages, from children to adults — it’s never too early or too late to begin a beautiful relationship with music.
What sets my teaching apart is my holistic, person-centred approach. I take the time to get to know you deeply — your learning style, your goals, your emotional rhythms — so that I can teach in a way that truly resonates with who you are. No two students are the same, and I believe lessons should reflect that.
Music, to me, is more than a skill — it’s a spiritual language and a powerful tool for self-expression, confidence, and healing. My students often tell me they leave lessons not just with stronger musical abilities, but feeling more grounded, inspired, and seen. I create a safe, nurturing environment where your creativity can flourish freely, without pressure or perfectionism.
To support your progress and sense of momentum, I offer regular check-ins between lessons, so you always feel guided, supported, and connected to your journey. I’ll also gently incorporate mindfulness, visualisation, and creative play into our sessions, especially for younger learners or those needing extra emotional support.
In essence, I want your music lessons to feel like more than instruction — I want them to feel like a homecoming. A time in your week when you reconnect with yourself, your creativity, and the joy of learning. Like sitting down with a trusted friend, your instrument, and me.
If that resonates with you, I would be honoured to accompany you or your child on this musical adventure.
Let’s create something beautiful together.
Warmest regards,
Vanessa
