About Me

Hello! I’m Valerie, a native Chinese tutor with a multilingual background and a strong passion for language education. I hold a bachelor’s degree in foreign language and literature, and I have studied both in China and South Korea as a government-sponsored student. These experiences have given me valuable insights into language learning and cross-cultural communication, especially within East Asian contexts.

My Teaching Experience

I have two years of experience tutoring international students in HSK preparation and university-level Chinese. I understand the common challenges learners face—such as pronunciation, grammar, and fluency—and I always strive to make my lessons engaging, encouraging, and tailored to individual needs. I also have experience tutoring Korean and helping students prepare for the TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean).

My Teaching Style

All my lessons are conducted online and designed to match each student’s goals, whether for exam preparation, academic study, professional use, or personal interest. My teaching style is interactive and flexible, combining structured learning with real-life communication practice. I often use authentic materials such as short texts, videos, and dialogues to make the learning experience more natural and practical.

My Belief
