My approach to teaching is built around the student. I start every session by understanding exactly where the student is and what they are finding difficult. From there I build lessons around their individual needs rather than following a one size fits all method. I use real world examples and practical applications to bring concepts to life, which helps students not just memorise but actually understand what they are learning.

I have a strong academic background in Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering, having completed a First Class BEng in Civil Engineering and currently pursuing an MSc in Structural Engineering. This means I can confidently teach these subjects from secondary school level all the way through to A Level and beyond, explaining concepts clearly and connecting them to real world scenarios that make sense.

I am patient, approachable, and genuinely invested in seeing my students improve. I have informally supported peers and classmates throughout my academic career, explaining difficult concepts and helping them build confidence before exams. I know how it feels to sit in front of a topic that just will not click, and I know how to help someone get past that feeling.
For online sessions I use clear screen sharing and digital tools to walk through problems step by step. For in person sessions in Manchester I bring the same structured, calm and encouraging approach.

Whether a student needs help with homework, exam preparation, or simply wants to build a stronger foundation in a subject, I am here to support them at their own pace and help them reach their goals.
