I hold a BSc (Hons) Mathematics degree with a 2:1 classification from the University of Hertfordshire and have several years of experience supporting students through tutoring, mentoring, and classroom-based teaching. My academic background has provided me with strong subject knowledge across core mathematical areas including algebra, statistics, calculus, problem-solving, combinatorics, and mathematical modelling. I am on the Teach First programme as a secondary mathematics trainee teacher, further developing my classroom teaching practice and educational training.

I believe students achieve the best results when they fully understand the reasoning behind mathematical methods rather than relying purely on memorisation. I break difficult topics down into manageable steps, regularly check understanding throughout lessons, and adapt the pace depending on the student’s confidence and progress. I also place strong emphasis on exam technique by using past paper questions, targeted feedback, and structured revision strategies to help students perform effectively under timed conditions.
