My lessons tend to be quite relaxed and laid-back, but also focused on the work at hand. With my experience in both achieving high grades myself, and helping various others achieve these grades, I can make it seem effortless, and also relaxed and enjoyable.
One of my top priorities is making sure my students are stress-free, given that I am well aware of the mental health challenges that come with life as a student - this is incredibly important to me, and I strive to make sure that students are comfortable in my lessons, and able to be themselves.
The experience I give my students largely relate to what I preferred in school, and what I now prefer at university. The stricter the teacher, the longer I'd spend worrying about the teacher, as opposed to actually engaging with content. So, for my lessons, I prefer to keep it relaxed, and get to know the student personally - what they like, don't like, and crucially, how they would like to be taught. My lesson plans revolve around this, taking into account what areas students are weak in, and what they would academically benefit from. All of this tends to mean that my students consistently improve by at least a grade at all levels, but more likely to improve by 2 or more.
My personal credentials: all 9's at GCSE, an A* in Mathematics, and an A* in Further Mathematics at A-Level. I also nearly achieved full marks in both Oxford and Imperial's entrance exam for Mathematics. As well as this, I have Olympiad and Kangaroo experience in UKMT Maths Challenges at all ages.
