I teach in a very light hearted, yet effective, manner ensuring students feel comfort and ease when studying, whilst also maintaining a strict understanding of their work. A key feature of my teaching style is the involvement of my students, with engaging tasks to begin their lessons, and relaxing tasks to end them. I prioritise both the work ethic, content management of my work, but also the confidence of my students. I believe the best route to take when educating is the fun one! Students struggle to retain knowledge when faced with uninspiring texts and large bodies of language, so I believe in bringing as much enjoyment to even the most mundane of tasks. I find it best to work via remote learning where I can share the contents of my screen and engage easily with the student. My initial few sessions with a student consist of creating a learning plan and conducting a few short examinations to better understand both what is wanted from the student and what is needed for the student. Once the learning plan has been set and a rough idea on where the student is with their knowledge, I begin to teach them the beauty of English Literature and Language! I offer flexible learning hours and allow the parties involved to contribute however they deem best with their learning plan.
