Whether you are a complete beginner, have some experience with casual photography, have been studying for some time, or are already exhibiting and publishing your work, we will first identify your current level, goals and areas for development.

My lessons begin by understanding where you are in your photographic journey. Whether you are a complete beginner, have some experience with casual photography, have been studying for some time, or are already exhibiting and publishing your work, we will first identify your current level, goals and areas for development.

From there, I can create a progressive lesson plan tailored specifically to you. This can be something you work through independently, with occasional catch-up sessions when you feel they are needed, or we can meet weekly to critically assess your progress and work through each stage together.

Lessons are designed to be light, playful and exploratory. Alongside practical and critical exercises, I will introduce materials suited to your interests and development, including specific photographers and artists, photographic projects, philosophical ideas and relevant literature. The aim is not simply to teach you how to take better photographs, but to help you understand what you want to say through photography and develop a practice that feels genuinely your own.

My goal is to uncover the photographer in everyone. Every photographer has a different way of seeing, and I want to help you discover what makes your perspective distinctive, or develop it further if you have already found it.

I have studied photography for five years and have worked as a fine art photographer since completing my studies. My work has been exhibited internationally, published, and recognised through a number of awards. I have also been invited to critique third-year photography students at Kingston University, helping them develop their ideas for their final exhibitions, as well as providing critiques for MA Photography students at the University of the Arts London.
