My teaching is practical, interactive, and tailored to each student’s goals. Whether it’s improving conversational fluency, mastering grammar, or preparing for SAT/GED exams, I design lesson plans that combine clarity, structure, and flexibility. I mix reading, comprehension exercises, and vocabulary building with real-life discussion topics, so students see immediate progress while staying engaged.
A core part of my approach is the metacognitive method: I help students think about their own thinking processes. They learn to plan strategies before tasks (like outlining essays or previewing texts), monitor their understanding during activities, and reflect afterward to evaluate successes, challenges, and adjustments for next time. This evidence-based technique fosters independent, self-regulated learning skills that lead to lasting improvements in English reading, writing, critical analysis, and exam performance.

Lessons are 45 minutes long, keeping focus sharp and energy high in this concise yet productive format. To achieve proper growth and fully reach metacognitive targets, I strongly recommend committing to a 10-lesson package (£250 total, at £25 per lesson). This structured set allows progressive building: introducing key strategies early, practicing with personalized feedback, tracking ongoing progress, and incorporating deep weekly reflections—resulting in noticeable gains in confidence, autonomy, and real-world English application.
With over 20 years of experience teaching online and in-person across Korea, China, the Middle East, and Europe, I’ve worked with learners of all ages and levels. Many of my students have gone on to succeed at universities such as Oxford, MIT, and Cambridge.

The dynamics of my lessons are simple: I create a supportive environment where mistakes are part of the process, confidence is built steadily, and learning feels enjoyable. I balance professionalism with humor and patience, making sure students not only understand English but feel empowered to use it.
I also teach business English, academic writing, and professional communication, helping learners develop skills they can use immediately in studies or careers. Every learner is different, so I adapt my methods to fit individual needs—structured where necessary, conversational when helpful, and always focused on long-term results.
