My lessons are structured, supportive and carefully tailored to each student’s individual needs and ability level. We begin by working through clear, step-by-step examples together, where I model methods in detail and explain the reasoning behind each stage so students fully understand not just how to answer a question, but why the method works. I use targeted questioning throughout to check understanding and address misconceptions early. We then move on to a balance of half-independent, half teacher-led practice, giving students the opportunity to apply the method themselves while still receiving guided support and clarification where needed. As confidence grows, this naturally leads into independent work, where students complete exam-style or topic-based questions with constant feedback, reassurance and constructive guidance. I focus heavily on building confidence, mathematical reasoning and exam technique, ensuring students feel secure, supported and increasingly independent in their learning.
