My lessons are carefully structured to be engaging, interactive, and tailored to each student’s individual goals, whether they are beginners exploring creativity or advanced students developing a portfolio for academic or professional purposes. I draw on my background in Art at A-Level and my undergraduate degree in Architecture, soon to be followed by a Master’s in Architecture, to provide both creative and technical insight throughout each session.
Typical 1-Hour Lesson Structure:
1. Introduction & Goal Setting (5–10 minutes)
Discuss the student’s goals for the session and broader learning objectives.
Review previous work or homework to assess progress and highlight areas for improvement.
Establish a clear target for the lesson to maintain focus.
2. Demonstration / Instruction (10–15 minutes)
Provide live demonstrations of techniques or concepts, such as drawing, design principles, visualization, or creative composition.
Explain key artistic and technical concepts, breaking them down into manageable steps.
Illustrate how these techniques connect to broader design or architectural thinking.
3. Guided Practice (20–25 minutes)
Student works on exercises or a project with real-time guidance and feedback.
Encourage experimentation, problem-solving, and independent thinking.
Adjust focus and difficulty based on the student’s level and objectives.
4. Review & Feedback (10–15 minutes)
Reflect on the session’s outcomes and provide constructive feedback.
Demonstrate improvements or corrections as needed.
Highlight the student’s strengths and set targets for further development.
5. Wrap-Up & Next Steps (5 minutes)
Summarize key takeaways from the lesson.
Assign a small, achievable task or exercise to reinforce learning.

This structured approach ensures that each lesson is productive, enjoyable, and tailored to the student’s unique needs, fostering both skill development and creative confidence.
