I am a senior leader student in sixth form, I tutor children within school for GCSE who aim or are expected a 7+ in GCSE. Rather than traditional note taking, my methods encourage knowledge recall using short quizzes and mock questions (with structure provided rather than the candidate just winging it).

I keep lessons structured but relaxed, so students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Each session usually starts with a quick recap of previous content, followed by targeted practice on weaker areas. I use exam style questions regularly, because understanding how to answer is just as important as knowing the content. I also break down mark schemes so students see exactly what examiners look for.

I adapt my teaching to each student, whether they need more structure, repetition, or challenge. I have experience supporting different learning styles, and I focus on building confidence alongside ability. Lessons are interactive, not passive, and I expect students to engage fully.

Over time, I aim to help students become more independent in their thinking, so they can approach unfamiliar questions without panic. I keep track of progress and adjust lessons to make sure we are always moving forward. My goal is not just higher grades, but a clearer understanding and a stronger sense of confidence in exams. I also share simple revision strategies that students can use outside lessons, helping them stay consistent and avoid last minute cramming.
