For the past 15 years, I have tutored children, teenagers, and young adults in Mathematics. Many of my students have achieved excellent GCSE results and gone on to university. My lessons are structured, interactive, and always tailored to each student’s individual needs. I focus on building a strong understanding of key concepts, guiding students through worked examples, and giving them plenty of practice with clear step-by-step explanations.
Each session usually starts with a quick review of previous material, followed by a simple breakdown of new topics and targeted exercises to build confidence. I like to bring Maths to life by using real-world examples wherever possible—for instance, using construction and architecture to explain geometry, shopping scenarios to teach percentages and ratios, or everyday travel and distance calculations to demonstrate algebra and speed-distance-time problems. These practical examples help students understand not just how to solve a problem, but why the method works.
My approach is friendly, patient, and supportive, and I encourage students to ask questions, think logically, and develop strong problem-solving skills.
