About me

I am passionate about philosophy, having studied it at IB, undergraduate, and Master's level. I am passionate about philosophy, having studied it at IB, undergraduate, and Master's level. My main areas of interest are moral philosophy (applied, normative, and meta ethics), philosophy of mind (particularly the nature of free will and philosophy of perception), and metaphysics (particularly the philosophy of time/time travel), however I have also studied epistemology, political philosophy, ancient philosophy, and feminism to a high level. So, if you have an interest in any of these areas get in touch or, alternatively, if you are interested in areas not mentioned above then contact me to see if I can help anyway!

When it comes to teaching, I find that a conversational, discussion-based approach can be really effective in terms of getting to grips with complex philosophical issues. So, I try to have as much discussion as possible in my lessons. However, I appreciate this isn't the only way of learning. Every lesson will focus on a particular philosophical problem, argument, or article (determined prior to the lesson). I will provide a written summary of the given topic for the lesson, outlining the key points and thinkers involved, as well as a worksheet with questions that require both short and long-form answers. The worksheet is preferably completed by you prior to the lesson and we can work through any issues you experienced with answering the questions (if there are any).

Perhaps, though, you are looking for help with something like essay planning, writing skills, or time management? If this is the case then I'm here to help, too! Having written my fair share of essays I can help with anything from structuring your argument to fine-tuning your idea! I can proofread drafts if that's helpful, and provide feedback too so you can consider some responses to any points you're making. This is really the best way to get a stellar essay, by workshopping and getting ideas from fellow philosophers!

All in all, I'm able to help with anything from specific philosophical problems to essay writing, get in touch if you'd like to know more!
