Tree Dickens

Having just graduated with a degree in illustration, I have an abundance of knowledge surrounding the world of art. With my experience in the field, I can pass on techniques and tips for using different materials and how one may approach the beginnings of a project. In my lessons, I communicate with clarity and warmth as we get to know how each other works. I am a calm and patient teacher who hopes to nurture your imagination and help you reach your desired artistic ability.

I have previously hosted workshops in which we would brainstorm subjects together before jumping into topics such as colour theory and composition, using our chosen subject to demonstrate these newly learned skills. The content on the lessons will depend on the skills you are hoping to grow and are adaptable based on your feedback and experience. Art is a rather flexible subject which I am able to mould to your requirements.

During lessons, I like to help students reflect as they go, acknowledging growth and areas of struggle so we know where to focus. This ensures you are getting the most out of each lesson, as well as being aware of what you are taking away. It is important to me that my students feel comfortable to share when they are struggling so lessons can be adjusted in pace and difficulty when and where needed.
