My lessons are friendly, relaxed and fully tailored to each student. I begin by understanding your goals, current ability and areas you would like to improve, then structure lessons around your individual needs.

I present myself as a friendly, approachable and professional tutor who creates a positive learning environment. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and expressing themselves without fear of judgement. My teaching style is patient, encouraging and adaptable, allowing me to respond to each student’s individual strengths and challenges. I bring creativity and enthusiasm to my lessons, while maintaining a clear and organised structure. My experience as an author and freelance writer also gives me practical insight that I can share with students. I aim to make every lesson productive, engaging and enjoyable.

Depending on the subject, lessons may include conversation practice, grammar, vocabulary, reading, comprehension, writing exercises, creative tasks and practical activities. I aim to make lessons interactive rather than simply following a textbook, giving students plenty of opportunities to practise and ask questions.

As an author and freelance writer with over a decade of experience, I can also offer practical guidance on creative writing, storytelling, developing characters, structure and finding your own writing style.
