Online tuition is very effective! Learning from the comfort of your own home, at a time that suits you ensures you can fit your study in around your other commitments.
My online sessions use a board which we can both access and write on alongside a video platform such as Google meet; it's important I can see you as I use body language and facial expressions to pick up if you understand what we're doing! It's also much better for communication generally.
I ask that under 18s have a parent or carers email address which I use to send the board details to. Lessons can be accessed by either laptop or tablet. I tend to work initially to identify any gaps in understanding as these areas can affect a lot of maths going forward! I use a variety of resources including games, activities, worksheets and practice papers according to your needs. Short term tuition can be used to target a known area needing support, or if you prefer, can provide an all round check up; a bit like a car MOT to see what areas you might need to work on next. I tend to ask questions which will check out your understanding and maybe stretch it. I have a bit of a passion for maths in real life situations and applications, but also for the bizarre world of algebra! I have worked with so many students and will tend to adapt quickly to a learning style that suits you. It's your learning process so I'm happy to work in the way that you find most helpful.
