Toru Obunge

Hello! My name is Toru, and I am a final-year student at Princeton University studying Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience. I also attended Cheltenham Ladies' College in secondary school and sixth form, and in September I will be starting my studies in Graduate Medicine.

I've been tutoring for over 8 years (since I was 13!) and I've worked with students with a range of ages (4-18) and diverse abilities. In my lessons, we work together to set a comfortable pace and practice different study skills along the way. My goal as a tutor is not only to help you understand subject content, but to also help you build upon your confidence as a learner!

I always like to start practically - I take examples of the questions you would have to answer, and create worksheets modelled off that. This way, your notes are presented to you in a way that can be used in tests (in case last-minute cramming ends up being a problem!).
But alongside this, I will always ask you to phrase subject content in your own words, so we both have a clear understanding of what you are and are not confident communicating.
