My teaching style is very much adapted to the student, while running robotics classes I would typically set out exact goals and put out targets for each lesson. I found that this allows the students to directly monitor their process and know what they are working towards! I have previously taught ages from 8-17 and often in large groups.

I make my lessons welcoming and calm to insure that the student feels comfortable asking questions should they not understand any of my explanations. I have found that the most effective way to tutor is to be there to solve problems, not teach the whole syllabus. Typically I would ask for the topic that the student would like to cover prior to the lesson. I would then go through the topic with the student and attempt to figure out what area of the topic is confusing the student, then specifically target that area. After this I would go through some worked examples of questions from the students syllabus, then give the student some questions to do in their own time.

I deliver lessons online, I can use any of the major applications such as; zoom, google meets or anything else you would like to use!
