Overview:

I believe every student has a unique way of learning, and the most effective lessons are those tailored to their individual style, pace, and goals. My role as a tutor is not just to explain concepts, but to help students truly understand them, feel confident in applying them, and develop skills that will serve them well in future studies.

My Experience:

I hold a First Class Master’s degree in Engineering, which means I can offer not only subject expertise but also real-world examples to bring topics to life. Throughout my studies, I tutored maths for three years on a one-to-one basis, for family friends, helping students develop a stronger grasp of key concepts and greater confidence in problem-solving.

Alongside turoing, I also have experience supervising and mentoring young people aged 12-17 on residential STEM courses. Supporting them to work together, explore new ideas, and achieve their goals. This experience has strengthened my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, adapt to different personalities, and create a positive, engaging learning environment.

My Lesson Style:

Lessons with me are structured but flexible. I typically begin by identifying your current level and any areas of difficulty, then break topics down into manageable steps. We’ll work together through examples, with plenty of opportunities for you to ask questions and test your understanding.

Most importantly, I aim to make learning engaging. When students enjoy the process, they retain more and gain the confidence to tackle challenges independently. My goal is to help you succeed now and equip you with the tools, strategies, and mindset to keep succeeding long after our lessons end.
