About me

I am an English teacher with eight years experience in both Japan and the UK. I taught for three years in elementary and junior high schools in south Japan, before teaching privately from home for a further two. 

I returned to the UK in 2021 to complete a Postgraduate Certificate of Education and attained Qualified Teacher Status. I currently work at a language school in Norwich, and am also tak...

I returned to the UK in 2021 to complete a Postgraduate Certificate of Education and attained Qualified Teacher Status. I currently work at a language school in Norwich, and am also taking on some private students. My wife and I have recently had a son, and so I am now looking to take on further students online to allow for some more flexibility. 

My lessons are adapted to suit the individual student, taking their goals and aims into account. I have experience preparing students for exams such as TOEIC and IELTS, as well as helping students to improve their general communication skills in English.

Tom is a brilliant tutor. He is one of the best. He helped with improving my English a lot, he is fun and interactive with the students, and he answers every question no matter how silly it is. I recommend taking a course with him.
