I have been teaching learners basic English skills for 12 years. My teaching is learner centred. I'm patient with learners and I repeat concepts until they understand. I present a topic to a student then let them explore and guide where they make errors. I also integrate all the basic skills of the English language while teaching. I give an oral and written test to gauge whether the learner has achieved the objectives of the lesson. I conclude my lesson by reviewing what I have taught and give assignment to the learner to be completed in the next lesson. I also do follow up on my students and try to encourage them when they feel like giving up as learning is a process. I set smart goals which enable me to achieve my objectives.
