Timothy Mullis

Hello, I'm Tim Mullis.

I am a full-time online Physics tutor with 29 years' teaching experience, a degree in Physics with Electronics, a Master's degree, PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status. I specialise in A-Level and GCSE Physics and have extensive experience supporting students preparing for university applications and entrance examinations.

As well as tutoring, I work as an examiner, assessment specialist and question writer, giving me a detailed understanding of how Physics is assessed and where marks are won and lost.

Whether a student is aiming for an A*, preparing for university applications, or seeking support with autism, ADHD or anxiety, tuition is tailored to the individual and the way they learn best.

Lessons are delivered online using Zoom and an interactive whiteboard. I create many of my own diagrams, animations and learning resources to help students understand the most challenging topics in Physics.

Structured weekly tasks help students build momentum between lessons, while regular parent updates ensure progress, targets and next steps are never left to chance.

My aim is simple: to help students develop deeper understanding, greater confidence and achieve their full potential.
