I have taught in secondary schools for 34 years. I like to build confidence in Mathematics by relating abstract ideas to real world examples. I am a friendly and enthusiastic person and try to help learners to enjoy their study of Maths. I like to prepare specialist materials for our sessions so when we first meet I will ask you about your studies and find out what you would like to work on. Then I will develop activities for the session tailored to your particular needs.

I have taught in secondary schools and sixth form colleges and am familiar with all of the content required by the KS3, GCSE and A Level qualifications. At KS 3 I understand which skills need to be developed to enable you to access the GCSE curriculum and have many resources that we can use to achieve this. I know how GCSE and A Level exams are structured and can even help with exam technique. I find it helpful to look at past exam questions for GCSE and A Level sessions in order to give you experience of tackling the kinds of questions you might encounter in the exam room.
