My lessons are tailored to the specific needs of each student, whether academic study or leisure. Regardless of your current level, I provide a structured lesson schedule with weekly notes to track your development. I also teach at least a very basic level of music theory, so that all of my students are prepared to converse with other musicians in real-world environments. Of course, those interested in further theoretical study are accommodated and encouraged.

I offer lessons in-person or online, and the first session will focus on your immediate aspirations, realistic rehearsal schedule, and long-term goals. I take a pragmatic and empathetic approach, and endeavor to elevate my students' well-being and interests at every juncture. I can transcribe your favourite songs upon request and break down the techniques your favourite artists use to achieve their sound. We can discuss tonality, timbre, and playing styles, and nurture your own unique playing style into something that sounds professional, consistent, and engaging.
