I am a first-year Classics student at Durham University. I have always been passionate about Latin. I achieved 9s in my Latin, Classical Greek and Classical Civilisation GCSEs and an A* in Latin A-level. I have experience working with and teaching children through many years of tennis coaching (working with children aged 4 – 16).
The Latin GCSE course is split into a language side and a literature side. For the literature side I would tailor my lessons to whichever specific text my student is currently studying, and I can work through their texts alongside them, improving their stylistic technique and highlighting, especially in verse literature, any niche vocabulary specific to certain authors. For the language side of the course, I can teach it from scratch, starting from the basics of nouns and verbs or I can focus on individual harder topics of your choosing.
In addition, I have a literary technique bank available to all my students, vocab lists and notes on the harder topics for them to read whilst I teach.
