Ever since I started having Electric Guitar lessons aged 9, I quickly came to appreciate the pivotal and inspirational role music teachers possess. Twelve years later, I have acquired a First Class Degree in Music, and have experience myself in teaching guitar, piano and music theory to students of all ages and abilities. As a teacher, I am communicative, patient, and well prepared. Whilst teaching inevitably had to go on hold when I started my undergraduate degree in Cardiff, I am excited at the prospect of returning to it alongside studying for my master’s degree. Whilst I will be based in Cardiff, I am open to both in person and online lessons, understanding that everyone learns best in different ways. Although I started out as an electric guitarist, I am now equally proficient in acoustic guitar, classical guitar and flamenco guitar, in all genres. Furthermore, whilst originally a classical pianist, I have also taught jazz and pop styles. Finally, given the nature of my master’s degree, the course relies much less on contact hours, resulting in my timetable being much more flexible for teaching.
