Theodore Hunton

Hello! I’m Theodore, a current Ancient History & Philosophy Student at the University of Leeds and have been tutoring successfully for almost a year. I achieved a Grade 9 in my English and History GCSEs, a Grade B in Ancient History and an A Grade A in English Literature A-Levels, so i know my way around prose, poetry and historical texts. Students i have tutored in the past have had their grades increased from 3s and 4s to 7s and 8s due to my tutoring, and i hope i can help you or your child do the same!

I aim to make my tutoring sessions as fun and as palatable as possible, whilst still ensuring that the content is delivered. Depending on the time of year I begin tutoring, my lessons can range from reviewing content taught in lessons to teaching new skills to everything in between. My lessons are online, but i am always available outside allotted hours if students have any problems or questions, and i strongly believe in student-led teaching and will adapt my own methods to suit the student. This all helps make sure that they receive the best help they can get from me!

I am also very experienced teaching GCSE to A-Level aged students generally, due to my time teaching as an Army Cadet, including two individual teaching courses - one of which i was specially picked to be on. I might not have been privately tutoring for long, but I’ve been teaching for years! And even if there’s something i don’t know, i have access to a whole network of professional teaching staff.

All in all, i will do everything i can to ensure you or your child receives all the help that they can from me, and that i see them succeed!
