I have only just joined this tutoring platform but have a year of tutoring experience. When starting lessons I first assess learning styles, levels and goals. This allows me to create a plan of lessons that is individualistic. All students I tutor are taught in slightly different ways from those who enjoy thrive in more creative and free flowing sessions to those who require set structure. Being goals focused is a priority for me and I ensure that these are set at the beginning and we have checks on these through out (for example practice tests). I believe that this approach not only heightens progress but boosts confidence as you're able to see your progression as you go. I have tutored my entire time at University and it has been something very enriching for me. Seeing the people I tutor make amazing progress and grow in the subject has been invaluable and I've formed brilliant working relations.
